About Me
I am a Linux user from Guelph, Ontario, Canada. I am home full time following my various interests of which computers is but one. In the summer I garden, camp, kayak, and hike. I enjoy photography, reading, writing, cooking, computing and wine year round!
My three children are grown. Two are full time university students, living away from home. One is a university graduate working full time as an IT professional. He first introduced me to the joys of Linux.
I use this nickname because I use Linux and am Canadian. Canuck is a slang term for a Canadian. It was originally a derrogatory term used by Americans for Canadians, but we have taken it as our own. There is a professional hockey team called the Vancouver Canucks.

I truly envy your life.
How old are you and what used to be your profession to afford that?

Michael,
I was a teacher for nearly 30 years. I am now home full time as a result of illness, not something to be desired. I have had CFIDS or ME for the past twenty years and worked until I could no longer manage. I don’t talk about it much as it is not a fun topic, like Linux.

I’m sorry to hear about your condition. Still, it is reassuring to know it doesn’t stop you from enjoying your life.
I don’t think many people in the world would have that luxury.
